Family Life

Family Time.

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today’s blog is about family time. I have 4 kids and 3 grandkids. All of my kids live here in Arizona except for one. He’s in the Army and is stationed in a different state. I cherish family time when we can all get together. It’s kind of hard because they all work and go to school. So everyone’s schedule is always different. We have to plan ahead of time so we can all hang out as a family.

We went to Macdonald’s Ranch on Sunday Oct. 1, 2017. We have lived here in Arizona for 17 years and never even visited this place until today. DSC_0168-1

You walk in and the first thing  you see is the horses to the left of the property. They had a lot of horses. We might have to come back and go horseback riding when it gets cooler. This place was like an old western town with all its old farm equipment and farm decorations. It was pretty cool. They had a lot of activities for the kids which I definitely loved. The grandkids had a great time and loved it.

They had a farm animal petting area. Which included goats, sheep, miniature horses, donkeys,  pigs, and chickens.

We went through a little kids maze. The kids did pretty good trying to figure out where to go and how to get out. They were having lots of fun.

Finally we took a hay ride to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins. They had little tiny pumpkins to huge monster pumpkins.

It was an amazing day! I just love my family! Thanks so much for stopping by!

It’s Recipe Time: Bulgogi Beef With Vegetables and Brown Rice.

I saw this recipe in a magazine. So I decided to film it and put it on You Tube. It’s a fast forward video so I will write down all the ingredients and the instructions here.

  1.  1 lb. boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into 1 inch think pieces
  2. 1/2 cup chopped onions
  3. 1/4 cup honey
  4. 1/4 cup water
  5. 2 Tbsp. reduced-sodium soy sause
  6. 1 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh ginger
  7. 4 cloves of garlic, halved
  8. 1 1/3 cups of cooped brown rice
  9. 1 cup coarsely shredded carrots
  10. 1 cup finely shredded red cabbage
  11. 3/4 cup small broccoli florets
  12. 1/2 cup coarsely shredded cucmber
  13. 1/4 cup snipped fresh cilantro or mint
  14. 1 to 2 tsp. sriracha sauce
  15. nonstick cooking spray

  1. Trim fat from meat. Cut meat across the grain into very thin slices. Place meat in a resealable plastic bag set in shallow dish. For marinade, in a blender or food processor combine onion, 2 Tbsp. of the honey, 2 Tbsp. of the water, the soy sauce, the ginger and garlic. cover and blend or process until smooth. Pour marinade over meat. Seal bag; turn to coat meat. marinate in the refrigerator 4 to 6 hours, turning bag occasionally.
  2. Drain meat, discarding marinade. Coat a large skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat. Working in batches, add meat; cook and stir 40 to 60 seconds or just until slightly pink in center.
  3. In skillet add non cooking spray or olive oil and cook each of the vegetables to slightly tenderness and remove from pan.
  4. Combine all ingredient on a plate with some brown rice and enjoy.

It came out so good! It was a hit with the family. Please follow my blog for more recipes and thanks for watching!

Health And Beauty

To Dye Or Not To Dye.

That is the question.  I have noticed my hair is growing awfully quick these days ever since I changed my diet and started putting good nutrition into my body.  I don’t know about you all but when do you decide you should just accept the fact that your hair want to grow out gray? For me, I’m not ready… lol. I don’t know if I will ever be ready maybe if it starts to cost me an arm and a leg. I mean I’m only 45. I’m thinking more like 60ish.  But we will visit that time when I’m 60. But until then I’m still going to go in for my touch-ups. Thanks to my amazing hair dresser Dolores who always does an amazing job!

The Before
My before picture. Having my shake which is a nutritious, balanced meal replacement with protein, energy-boosting carbohydrates and good fats that promote reduced cravings, healthy weight loss, and fat burning while building strong, lean muscle mass. They are delishious!
I’m happy because I’m finally getting it done! I’ve so busy that I needed this like 2 weeks ago!

Well her is an awesome picture of me in the process! Gonna wash those grays right out of my head! lol . Then.. Oh how I love my hair dresser. She is always managing time and I get the special treatment with 2 blow dryers and 2 round brushes tugging and pulling  at the same time! As you can see I was thrilled! Just kidding Dolores it didn’t bother me at all.

And finally the after picture! Yessss!!! Love it!!

Thanks for taking the time to read my post!

The Little Joys In My Life

Hello everyone! I just want to brag about the little joys in my life. They are my 3 grandsons. My twin boys have kids. Joshua has 2 boys. Anthony who is 6 and Jeremiah who is 3. Tyler has 1 boy, Sebastian who is also 3.

IMG_3257Anthony has a smile that just lights up. He is smart, funny and always talking about something. He likes Pokeman, Minecraft and playing basketball. He likes to dance to the Just Dance videos on You Tube and he’s actually pretty good!  He doesn’t know it yet but were taking him to Disneyland for his birthday in November.

Here is Jeremiah. He is such a happy kid always has a big smile. He’s had a speech impairment but that doesn’t stop him from talking even though we don’t know what exactly he is saying. He does have a lot to say. He has been seeing a speech therapist and has made big improvements. He’s even learned how to use sign language for a few things. He loves bubbles. It’s so cute when he try’s to follow Anthony and starts dancing to just dance videos as well. He likes yogurt and fruit snacks. He know exactly where to go when he comes over to grandma’s house.

Sebastian is 3. He is the baby of the group only by 7 months.  He definitely has character and he’s smart and has the biggest smile that lights up your heart!  The last time we saw him in person was last year. My husband and I went to visit them for Thanksgiving. He just started talking when we were visiting.  Now when we face time he talks a lot more. Sometimes we have to ask my son “what did he say” lol.  He loves anything that has to do with cars. He has a huge collection and lines them up on the floor.  He is funny when he get to talk to his grandpa.

It’s going to be a great Christmas this year. I get to have all my kids together and all my grandkids together.

These are the little joys in my life!

Blockhead For Life

I grew up listening to New Kids On The Block. Their fan base are called blockheads. I will always and forever be a blockhead! On May 26th my daughter and I went to their concert here in Phoenix. I think this is our 3rd concert we have been to. I totally got my daughter hooked on to the NKOTB.  She even met Donnie Wahlberg and got a selfie with him. I had a chance to go with her but at the last minute I decided not to go! Biggest mistake I have ever made. Hopefully one day I can get my selfie with Donnie!

Here are a few videos I took of the concert.
